Q&A

Hello my dear readers and welcome to a long-awaited Q&A post!
Without further ado, let’s get into this!

What is the most famous Bosnia food?
These three are the most famous (at least I think) :
Ćevapčići – Small sausages made from a lamb and beef mix.
Burek – Meat pie made with filo pastry.
Baklava – Sweet nuts and honey in pastry.

Whats your fav colour?
Red definitely.

What is something you cannot live without?
I literally cannot imagine my life without my family and friends and, of course, TV shows, boy bands, TEA and books!

What would you wear more?
I’m not like so girly girl but I’d like to wear more skirts and dresses in cute colors.

Is it possible for you to post a famous and easy recipe of your area? It will be a great experience for all of us to try it at our homes 🙂
Oh this is a great question, thanks! I’d love to! I was thinking if it’s better to include it in this post or make a whole post about it but I decided to include it here so here’s the recipe of ‘ Burek‘ :

You’ll need :
– 1 quantity pastry (you can buy it or make it yourself but we, in Bosnia, make it by ourselves)

*for the meat filling :
-1 tbsp oil
– 1 small onion (8o g) ,finely diced
– 250 g beef mince
– 1 small potato (80 g) diced to 5 mm pieces, blanched for 1 minute in boiling water, drained
– 1 clove garlic, finely grated
– ½ tsp rosemary, finely chopped
– ½ tbsp smoked paprika
– ½ tbsp Vegeta, or salt

Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Sauté the onion until soft. Add the beef mince and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Add the potato, garlic, rosemary and paprika and keep mixing until the beef is cooked all the way through. Season with the Vegeta, or salt.

Place the meat mixture into a fine sieve and set it over a large bowl or the sink, to allow any liquids to drain. Gently press it down with the back of a large spoon to speed up the draining. The mixture needs to be dry and completely cooled.

Assemble and bake.

I hope that was detailed enough (btw.I didn’t write that, I’m not really good at writing recipes, I found it on the Internet, hope you don’t mind).

What do you want to be when you get older?
I just want to do the job who would make me feel like I’m not working at all because I love it. I’m not really sure about it, maybe a computer programmer.

What’s your favourite food in Bosnia?
Besides ‘Burek’, ‘Ćevapčići’ and ‘Baklava’, we, in Bosnia, have these like special soups which we call ‘Čorba’ and I really love that soup with beans.

What is your favourite snack?
So many questions about food, I’m getting hungry and Iftar is far away… Haha, jk.
My favorite snack would be cookies, bananas or candy bars.

Have you ever been to Germany?
Unfortunately, no but I’d love to visit Germany.

If you were granted three wishes what would you wish for and why?
I think you are asking about this life, not one after death so I won’t mention that I want to enter Paradise/Jannah. My wishes would be to be able to stop every war on this planet, to feed every hungry person and to feel confident about myself.

So that was all for today’s post! Hope you enjoyed reading my answers as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them!
And the best for the end :
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 15,5K VIEWS AND FOR 200 GFC FOLLOWERS! I CAN’T BELIEVE HOW FAR I’VE COME WITH THIS BLOG AND I KNOW IT WOULDN’T BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT YOU GUYS! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE YOU ALL!
XOXO

Bye,V
