Avon Digital Divas 2018

Hello my lovely readers and welcome to the new post on my blog!
I haven’t posted for a couple of days due to my inability to find enough time to just sit and write. In a meanwhile, I had a pleasure to be a part of something really beautiful which is Digital Divas event by Avon, the first bloggers event I ever visited!
Last year I wanted to be a part of this, but since I was in school at that time, I couldn’t arrange my trip to Sarajevo, where the conference is based for the fourth year now. But, I am happy I did this time and I am here to tell you how was it for me.

My day started at 4:45 AM when I had to get up and catch a bus at 5:30 AM. I had to go to Mostar from where I’d take another bus at 7:00 AM for Sarajevo. I usually like to travel by bus alone because it kind of comes to me as a time to think. Does anyone else feel that way?
So, I came to Sarajevo at 9:30 AM and the conference was going to start for hour and a half but since it was my first time totally alone visiting Sarajevo, I wanted to make sure I will get there on time so I started looking for the hotel right away. It wasn’t that far from my bus station so I found it for like fifteen minutes and then I decided to visit a nearby cafe since I didn’t want to be a person who gets there an hour before the conference starts.
When I got there, in Bristol hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the kindness of my fellow bloggers and I started a few conversations with them. I was nervous a bit because it was my first blogging event ever and it meant a lot to me I got invited there, it felt like I am doing the thing I love the right way. I met a few lovely ladies whose blogs I read frequently and a few of them I didn’t know before. The event started with cocktails and we used some time to take photos in front of Avon ”board” (don’t know the name for that). Then I saw Naida who is one of my favourite YouTubers and I was so happy about it, and that I got a chance to take a photo with her. She’s such a nice and positive person! When the conference started we were firstly introduced in Avon as a brand and as a collaborative partner for bloggers. Avon is celebrating 15th birthday in Bosnia and Herzegovina this year and finding out more about it was really nice and interesting. I feel like their products and offers have improved so much in my country. And it was a really nice of them to be the first one to remember bloggers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and organize an event for them with a lot exciting opportunities.

The next topic of the conference was held by New Media People presenters who gave us advice and tips on how to take our blogs on the whole next level by advertising and using the tools for Search Engine Optimization. I have always found this topic really interesting and I enjoyed the whole presentation.

After that, two girls were chosen to do an Avon Makeup Challenge and it was fun to watch them do their makeup with their opposite hands or without mirrors in a limited time.
Avon awarded them with really lovely prizes!
Naida, from the photo up there, and Masa who’s also a YouTuber talked to us about their journey of becoming an online influencer and turning their hobbies into jobs. It was great to hear their story and it motivated me to keep doing what I love.
We had a lunch break after that but I couldn’t stay any longer. I had to go to catch a bus for Mostar and I was sad I couldn’t stay till the very end. I am showing you few more photos from this wonderful event and in my next post, I will share with you my outfit of that day!

For the end of this post, I want to thank Avon for having me and for organizing an event for bloggers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where these events are rare occasion!
Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! If you did, be sure to let me know down below were you ever a part of an event like this or if not, would you like to be?
Love you all so much and talk to you really soon!
xoxo
Bye,V
