The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane review is the topic of today’s post on my blog! It took me just a few weeks to test this product and I finally have my opinion about it!

The first impression I had about this product is that it is oil but it doesn’t feel heavy on my skin, which was a total surprise! It’s light-weighted oil that dries pretty quick and it doesn’t leave you that greasy feeling on your skin, which makes it great to be used as a makeup primer. I have used it in that way and I really liked the fact that my foundation looked really fresh after it. I have dry skin and my skin wants to be treated with oils very often and I wasn’t surprised by the fact that my skin got to like this product. It’s not a product I would describe as nearly perfect because it could have been something that would nourish the skin a lot more. I really like to notice that something is working on my skin, that it made a difference. With this oil, I didn’t actually feel the long-time difference because, when the oil absorbs into the skin, the skin is almost in the condition it was before you put it on your skin. I hope I described it well but the point is that this product doesn’t affect the skin in a long-term period and yet, it’s great when you put it and until it absorbs. Something worth mentioning is that there was one time I realized it gave me a result I wanted. I got sick a few weeks ago, nothing really serious, just the flu. Since I used tissues A LOT to wipe my nose, the skin below my nose got really damaged. It felt so dry! When I put this oil on that part of my skin before I went to sleep, I woke up with normal-looking under-nose skin. I was really pleasantly surprised by that! Other than that, there were not any special results. Remember that my skin is very, very dry, so this oil might have not been enough in these windy months to save it totally from that dryness. My skin loves and needs heavier moisturizers definitely. My overall experience with this product is good. Rate is four stars out of five.

Prvi utisak koji sam imala za ovaj proizvod je da je to zapravo ulje ali nije teško na mojoj koži, što je definitivno bilo iznenađenje za mene! Ovo je lagano ulje koje se osuši jako brzo i ne ostavlja masan osjećaj na koži, što ga čini pogodnim za korištenje kao makeup primer. Koristila sam ga u tu svrhu i svidjela mi se činjenica da mi je puder izgledao baš svježe na licu poslije njega. Imam suhu kožu i moja koža želi da bude tretirana uljima često i nisam bila iznenađena činjenicom da se mojoj koži svidio ovaj proizvod. Ovo nije proizovd koji bih opisala kao nešto blizu savršenstva jer bi mogao biti mnogo više hranjiv. Ja volim primijetiti da proizvod koji koristim zaista djeluje na mojoj koži, da pravi razliku. S ovim uljem, nisam osjetila dugotrajni efekat ili neku razliku jer, kada se ulje upije u kožu, koža je skoro u istom stanju kakva je bila prije nego što ste stavili ovaj proizvod na nju. Nadam se da sam to dobro opisala, poenta je da ovaj proizvod ne utiče na kožu u dugotrajnom periodu ali opet, super je kada se tek stavi na kožu i dok se potpuno ne upije. Nešto vrijedno pomena je da je bio jedan slučaj u kojem mi je ovo ulje dalo željeni rezultat. Bila sam bolesna prije par sedmica, ništa ozbiljno, samo prehlada. Budući da sam koristila maramice PREČESTO da brišem nos, koža ispod mog nosa je bila jako oštećena. Bila je previše suha! Stavila sam ovo ulje na taj dio moje kože prije spavanja i probudila se s normalnom kožom ispod nosa. Bila sam ugodno iznenađena tim rezultatom! Pored toga, nije bilo nikakvih posebnih rezultata. Valja napomenuti da je kod mene koža jako, jako suha, pa ovo ulje vjerovatno nije dovoljno za hidrataciju i hranjenje iste u ovim vjetrovitim mjesecima. Moja koža voli i treba neke “jače” ili “teže” hidratantne proizvode. Moj cjelokupni utisak s ovim proizvodom je dobar. Ocejna je četiri zvjezdice od pet.
